BASC originally minted the 4th January 2022, with his founder being Bored Dragon.
He held a stealth mint at a price of 0.69 SOL and total
supply of 6,001.
The mint finished on January 13th and got listed in Magic Eden.
Volume in the first 24hs was extraordinary, FP went up to its ATH above 20 SOL and rare
traits apes were selling above 50 SOL.
About 2 months after mint date, secondary trading volume had reach roughly 6 million
dollars. At that moment, the founder rugged and disappeared.
Far from shutting down, some of the OG holders gathered together and decided to start the
process of de-rugging the project.
They raised 100 SOL with the community and had the entire collection art re-done so it
wouldn't infrict BAYC legal rights.
Since then, a lot of hard work has been done by the team and also by the community.
New collections were launched with collaborations between projects and lots of interesting
ideas were also executed. For example, the pizza mondays, tank tuesdays (and so on) where
you have the chance to get free pizza or a gas tank only by being a holder.
I chose this moment to publish this analysis because in about a month (around 24th
of October) BASC is going to held a new mint.
In my opinion, this is going to be a massive mint with a lot of FOMO and FUD around
it (like any mint with hype) and is, once again, an opportunity for the Leading Team
and the Community to show what's BASC made of.
There will be two new collections. One is going to be a revamp of OG apes, (for
now called "v2 apes") and the other will be a "Pet collection" with a reduced
supply. They will both have different utilities to be announced officialy and will
probably mint out very fast.
To access this new collections, the only official info yet is that an OG Ape
(BASC original collection) will grant you a guaranteed mint for a "v2 ape".
Legendary and Mythic rarity will grant 2x of this v2 apes.
Another way to get WL is holding an OG BASC PASS, which will give you 1x v2 ape an
1x pet.
By the way, OG BASC Passes were the latest mint, and a huge
success in my opinion. They minted for 0.345 and FP is now around 8 SOL, that being
more than 20x the mint price.
The last way to get an ape is waiting for the public mint, IF (and this is a HUGE
IF) mint supply gets to public mint and doesn't mint out before (Which, again, i
really doubt). In case i wasn't clear enough: Public mint is NOT guaranteed.
In the chart above you can see the FP movements with some
red lines i draw to show
some of the most important supports/resistances.
All them being around: 4 SOL, 7 SOL and 10 SOL.
Looking at the chart we can see that we have a really solid support around 7 and a
big resistance at 10. Right at the moment of publish, we are exactly at 10 FP and
less than a month away from the V2 Apes and Pet Collection mint. This will for sure
attract more eyes into BASC and probably a lot of new holders, so it will likely
pump from now until mint date.
And after that? Well, in my opinion, it could dump a little bit (as any collection
always does after pumping with a big announcement), but if FP breaks
both resistances (or any) at 11 and 15 (right now floor is pretty thin), it could
manage to keep above resistance and consolidate it as a new support.
In this case, i think it could be easily done since new apes and pet collection are
not going to grant the same utility as an OG ape, so a lot of new holders will
probably see BASC as a new home for the long run too.
If this scenario happens, i think that all collab collections in the BASC ecosystem
and maybe some traits that grant sub-DAOs access will also probably pump along with
it.
And what about the new collections? What FP prices can we expect?
Well, this is something you can never guarantee, but we can always set some MIN
and MAX prices for it.
I consider MIN price the mint price of the collection, this one is NOT ANNOUNCED
YET, but that amount of $SOL or $DAZE or $NOISE will be the one that will set a
solid support. And the MAX? Well, we are in NFTs space, and i have seen it all...
This is pretty difficult to know, but i think that after stabilizing, we can think
of some comparative parameters for trying to predict it.
We can think of FP on collab collections like "Abducted BASC" and "Abducted DeApes"
which can be similar to v2 apes. Also we can estimate that v2 apes won't probably
surpass OG apes FP (but you never know... haha).
We don't know exactly all the utility that v2 apes or pets will have, but we at
least know that Art so far is being well-received by the space and of course looks
really good and up-to-date. New furs are being introduced and well-known traits too,
so we can have an idea from before which traits will be more valuable than others.
IMPORTANT: In this and all NFT collections, FP is subject to SOL price in given moments, so of course, estimated FP could be slightly or hardly affected by price action on SOL. I consider that if SOL doesn't have a very aggresive movement on any direction, FP and prices shouldn't be very affected by it.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: This collection has a pretty stable
FP, you can take a look at the chart and see that it doesn't pump and dump as
agressively as a lot of other collections. IF YOU DO NOT GET A "CHEAP ENTRY" my
advice is DO NOT PANIC if the price goes down when you already bought. Check the
chart and look for the next support, it will probably hold there. Always try to make
decisions based on logic and have a plan for each scenario.
Most holders are
in the project for the long run and will hold either if it pumps or dumps, so my
advice is try to get the best entry you can and enjoy the ride. (Also remember that
what's considered "cheap" or "expensive" changes every time a support/resistance is
broken).
Hello again! I decide to make an update about BASC post v2 apes Mint because there
has been a lot of movement in the market in the past 2 months.
The mint was held during 4 days in different phases (Presale, WL, Public), it was
held between October 27th and 30th.
Supply being 10k was a very high and risky to go for, but BASC made it, didn't need
to cut supply and mint sold out very fast (first phase was for claiming, second and
third phase for WL, and fourth phase was the public mint, which only lasted less
than a day).
On the downside, (as i stated in the previous analysis) FP price was going to be
determined by the prices of $DAZE and $NOISE tokens combined with $SOL price too.
Since $SOL doubled its price between the start of presale and the day of mint, there
was a mismatch in some prices in terms of USD. The direct consequence of this
was that people had different price entries depending on when they got their apes.
Being about 1 month past the mint date, we can say BASC FP
is staying stable and
firmly above mint price in terms of USD.
Important things that have to be taken into account when evaluating
FP:
• Presale price was 3.21 SOL and started selling in the first days
of october, for
example, i bought on the 10th of October and SOL price was $22 at that moment, and
all the week before that SOL was in a range between $22 and $24. So this means that
a lot of presales sold for just $70, (also, at the time of mint, the team decided to
airdrop 2 apes instead of 1 to the people who bought presale for being early
supporters), so this means that presale buyers got their ape for around $35
USD.
• OG Apes (v1 apes) holders and OG BASC Passes holders got a FREE
airdrop. Yes, free, no cost, price $0.
• $DAZE and $NOISE tokens could be used to mint on WL phases and
public, since those tokens had a lower price to mint than $SOL (SOL was raising
since presales were announced and until mint date), depending on when you bought (or
not, maybe you just got the $DAZE or $NOISE by staking your apes and passes) is the
price you paid in USD, but i can assure it was preatty cheap too: between
$20 and $55, depending on when you bought, IF you bought (because a lot of
people used $DAZE tokens from staking to mint, so it had no cost at
all).
With all this being said, it's difficult to set a price for FP in terms of SOL (of
what it "should" be) but i would think that (in order to find a FP where nobody is
having losses), the FP should be the highest amount paid for minting an ape in USD,
which i believe is somewhere between $45 - $55 USD (is the price paid by most people
who minted with $DAZE and $NOISE and since people who minted in $SOL also got 2
apes, assuming they bought $SOL at the time of mint, they paid $33 * 3.33 SOL = $110
USD / 2 = $55, this would be the MAX price paid for mint).
After all this analysis we can confirm that FP is above mint price in terms of USD
and FP for certain traits (SUB-DAOs) is pretty high.
Current FP is ranging between 0.8 and 1 SOL with $SOL at $74, which in USD this
range is between $59 and $74 USD.
So yes, in terms of USD, FP is still above mint price (even for the MAX paid
mints
which were $55, all the others paid between $0 and $55, most of them around $30
-
$35).
The majority of them integrated v2 apes to their DAO, but some didn't, here you have a breakdown:
The mint goals and dreams were achieved. This main intention for this mint was to
get funding for each SUB-DAO so they could work in different and new ways of finding
renevue streams.
This was achieved and now each DAO was funded with around $10k USDC.
Also, some funds were used to be able to afford the costs and delivery of the next
collection. PETS collection.
The next announcement will probably be regarding STAKING
for v2 apes. Devs are implementing a in-house staking site to be able to stake v2
apes for a new token called $BASC. This token will replace both $DAZE and $NOISE
which were the tokens rewarded until now.
